Not sure which Windows version you need? Most PCs use the standard download. Choose Windows on Arm only for an Arm-based PC, such as one with a Snapdragon processor.

Installing on a Mac

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag InsightNote into your Applications folder.
  3. Open it from Applications. The first time, macOS confirms it was downloaded from the internet — choose Open.

Installing on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded setup file and follow the installer.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info, then Run anyway. Our Windows installer is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so Windows does not recognise it yet.
  3. Open InsightNote from the Start menu.

After installing

Set up the first computer and connect it to your practice with the code you were given when you signed up. Each further computer is connected with a code from your practice’s administrator.

System requirements

  • Mac: macOS 13 Ventura or later, on an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer).
  • Windows: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (Intel/AMD) or Windows on Arm.
  • About 1 GB of free disk space, plus room for your records.
  • An internet connection to set up, for AI drafting, and at least once every 30 days. Everything else works offline.
