What’s new

What’s new in InsightNotes

InsightNotes updates itself. When an update is ready, the app tells you, and it installs the next time you restart.

Version 0.1.0-rc.12

  • Every evaluation type now works like General Adult Psychological Standard: the same guided screens, AI drafting of every section, and reports written from your answers. Only the questions differ.
  • DFCS evaluations ask for the agency and court context, and the psychosexual evaluations for your own risk discussion and treatment considerations, so every required report section is written from what you record.
  • Add your own questions to a section, change any question’s wording, add your own quick phrases, and set your practice’s usual answers.
  • Diagnoses and recommendations print once, as lists, with the evidence you entered.
  • AI drafts refer to the client the way the client record does.
  • Drafts that were on their way when you pressed Generate with AI are no longer lost.

October 2, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.11

  • Make each evaluation type’s intake your own in Settings → Intakes: leave out sections you never ask, rename and reorder them, and choose what the report includes. New evaluations start with your version.
  • Your practice’s intakes and report templates now reach every computer in your practice automatically.
  • Check for updates now sits near the top of About & Support, and shows the download as it happens.

October 1, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.10

  • Optional report sections you did not use are left out of the report instead of saying no information was documented.
  • The AI panel stays quiet: anything worth a glance is one closed line you can open if you want to.

October 1, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.9

  • AI drafts read as polished report prose. A draft that words something differently is kept for you to review instead of leaving the section blank.
  • Reports with apostrophes or quotation marks finalize correctly, and a report reopened after you update your credentials finalizes again.
  • Record lists, diagnoses and recommendations read as sentences, and dates read as dates.
  • InsightNotes now lives at insightnotes.app.

October 1, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.8

  • A notice in the corner tells you when an update is ready, and installs it when you choose to restart.
  • If your session ends, the app returns you to the sign-in screen instead of showing an error.

September 30, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.7

  • When an agreement needs accepting, a trial has ended or a payment is more than 7 days overdue, a banner explains it and report exports pause. Records always stay open and editable.

September 30, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.6

  • The app is now called InsightNotes on screen.
  • Administrators can buy extra AI section drafts from the app; they never expire.

September 30, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.5

  • Manage billing from the app: change plan, update the card, see invoices or cancel.
  • Practice-wide notices, such as planned maintenance, appear in the app.

September 30, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.4

  • Contact support from inside the app — even from the unlock screen — and read our replies there.

September 25, 2026

Version 0.1.0-rc.3

  • Each computer shows a Device ID, so support can find it quickly.
  • Stronger keys protect practice recovery and licensing.
